Practice was held at Kennedale Speedway Park this evening and if what we saw is any indication of what to expect, this weekend is going to be OUTSTANDING!
There were around 50 cars total that showed up to shake down their rides, mostly Southern Sport Mods, but several Modifieds were there as well!

The IMCA Southern Sport Mod Nationals are just about set to get under way at Kennedale Speedway Park! The rain they got earlier in the day on Thursday has gone away and track crews have the track just about ready to hot lap!
The gates open at 6PM and practice is from 7 to 10 PM! Pit passes are $15.

KENNEDALE, Texas (Aug. 31) – Kennedale Speedway Park rolls out the red carpet this weekend, for the sixth annual IMCA Southern SportMod Nationals.
Heat races, “B” features and a qualifying feature for the SportMods are on the Friday, Sept. 3 card, along with IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby
Billy and Sheri Garza and the Ryan Bard Safety Foundation have teamed up to offer a “Race Ready” Vato Racing Chassis Limited Modified as their 2010 fund raiser! The car will be raffled off in October during the Southern Challenge/Ryan Bard Memorial in Abilene Texas! Tickets are $10.00 each and will be available at several race tracks around the area! A schedule will be forthcomig!
A full night of excitement and racing action starts when the gates open at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps will start at 7:00 p.m., and races will follow. Along with all the fast, door-to-door
